Technical sheetDownload PDFSemin Anti-Damp is a water-based ready-to-use primer designed to treat and protect damp walls both indoors and outdoors. It forms a waterproof barrier against water infiltration and prepares your substrates for all types of finishes: filler plaster, smoothing compound, acrylic or vinyl paint, wallpaper or tiles. Ideal for basements, garages, utility rooms and bathrooms, it can be applied directly to damp substrates without requiring prior drying time.
Stir the product thoroughly in its bucket before use. Apply the primer at a temperature between 8 and 35°C, both during application and drying. The substrate must be clean and free from loose particles, although it may remain damp.
After application, allow to dry completely before applying your finish. Recommended drying time is 48 hours. Indoors, ensure good ventilation to facilitate drying. This product does not constitute a complete waterproofing system and is not suitable for underground masonry such as foundations or swimming pools. The recommendations contained in the technical data sheet are intended for experienced persons with the required skills.

For Belgian construction sites facing the typical humidity of our winters, Semin Anti-Humidity becomes a valuable ally on difficult substrates. Make sure to properly assess the source of moisture before application: this product effectively treats capillary rise and surface humidity, but structural infiltration will first require addressing the source of the problem. When renovating historic buildings, this type of undercoat allows you to restore damp walls without waiting for complete drying, significantly accelerating project timelines. However, be sure to apply two coats to guarantee lasting protection for your clients.
Yes, Semin Anti-Humidity can be applied to damp, even dripping substrates. This is one of its key features: there is no need to wait for the substrate to dry completely before application.
It is recommended to apply two coats to ensure optimal protection and create an effective waterproof film against capillary rise and salt efflorescence.
Once dry, the film can be covered with all types of paints (acrylic, vinyl, pliolite, water-based or solvent-based), wallpaper or tiles. This versatility makes it an excellent universal undercoat.
Anti-Humidity is suitable for treating cellar walls with capillary rise, but not for waterproofing underground masonry such as foundations or pools. For these specific applications, structural waterproofing solutions are required.
Yes, the product is formulated for both interior and exterior use. It is particularly suited to damp façade plinths exposed to water rise through capillarity.
