With a width of 0.90 m, the 20 m roll is usually enough for a bedroom or hallway. The 45 m roll is better suited to a whole floor or back-to-back jobs. If you want to save time, go for the Twin Tape version: its two built-in adhesive strips fix the paper straight to the floor, with no separate masking tape needed. This is particularly handy along skirting boards and in high-traffic areas. In all cases, lay the protection on a clean, dry floor, overlap the strips slightly and remove it as soon as the work is finished to avoid leaving marks.
