This selection brings together glass fibre tapes and meshes designed to reinforce fillers and plasterwork. It includes a self-adhesive joint tape for plasterboard and crack repair, a wide-format anti-crack fabric and reinforcement meshes in one-metre-wide rolls, available in 53 g/m² and 70 g/m². These products are aimed at plasterers, drywall installers and renovators, as well as homeowners who want crack-free walls and ceilings before painting or hanging wallpaper. The self-adhesive tape sticks directly onto the joint and saves you a first coat of filler, which means time saved on site. Choose according to the surface to be treated. The narrow self-adhesive tape is suited to joints between boards and isolated cracks. The wide-format anti-crack fabric works better on ceilings or walls cracked all over, a common sight in older Belgian homes. To reinforce a full plaster coat or the junction between two different substrates, go for a mesh roll. The lighter weight suits fine finishing fillers, while the heavier weight provides extra strength in high-stress areas. In every case, embed the mesh in the filler while still wet and overlap the strips so the joins don't show once dry.
