Facade and exterior walls

This selection brings together paints and primers for facades and exterior walls: bonding primers, insulating undercoats and finishes in white or tintable versions. They can be applied to the masonry surfaces common in Belgium, such as brick, render, concrete or old paint layers that are still sound. The primer reduces the wall's absorbency and seals uneven or slightly soiled surfaces. The finish then protects the facade against rain and temperature changes. Professionals and DIYers alike will find everything they need to treat an entire facade or freshen up a garden wall. Your choice starts with the condition of the surface. On porous brick or render, first apply an opacifying primer to even out absorption and make the finish easier to apply. If there are stubborn stains (run marks, rust traces, water rings), go for a stain-blocking primer instead, which stops them bleeding through the paint. For the finish, choose white if you want a light facade, or a tintable version to match the tones of the street or your window frames. Always work on a dry, clean wall, in mild weather with no rain forecast, and observe the drying times stated on the packaging before recoating.
