Interior wood lacquer
This selection brings together finishing lacquers for interior woodwork: doors, window frames, skirting boards, stairs, furniture and chairs. It includes acrylic lacquers, some of which are also suitable for metal, and polyurethane-acrylic lacquers (PU-A) designed for high-wear surfaces. They give a smooth, enamel-like finish with no roller marks and good impact resistance. Several products are available in a tintable version, so you can match your woodwork to your walls or create a contrast. A multi-surface primer completes the range to prepare the surface before lacquering. Start by choosing the sheen level. Matt gives a contemporary, understated look and helps hide minor surface imperfections. Satin is easier to clean and better suited to doors, handrails and skirting boards in high-traffic areas. For stairs, heavily used furniture or a kitchen, a PU-A lacquer will stand up better to wear. On bare wood, old alkyd lacquer or an uncertain surface, apply the primer first after light sanding and degreasing: this ensures good adhesion and a long-lasting finish. Before you start, check each product sheet for coverage and thinning instructions.
