Technical sheetDownload PDFInterior Strong Finish 20 is an acrylic lacquer reinforced with polyurethane, developed for interior projects requiring both a refined appearance and maximum durability. With its semi-gloss 20 sheen finish and particularly hard surface, it is perfectly suited for cabinet doors, work surfaces, doors, door frames, skirting boards, windows, window sills, panels, furniture and pre-treated corrosion-resistant iron and metal. Its rich consistency and optimised coalescence guarantee an enamel-like finish, even on heavily stressed substrates.
The substrate must be clean, dry, stable and properly primed before application. Work at a minimum temperature of 10°C and ensure relative humidity does not exceed 80%. The product can be applied by brush, roller or spray gun (no dilution required for spraying). For other methods, water dilution is possible if necessary.
Remove all loose material from the substrate before treatment. Clean tools with water immediately after use. The optimised coalescence of this formula ensures effective self-levelling, reducing tool marks for a smooth and professional finish. Respect the full cure time of 28 days before subjecting the surface to intensive use.

At Pygmalion, we particularly recommend Interior Strong Finish 20 for kitchen renovation and interior joinery projects where mechanical resistance is paramount. The polyurethane reinforcement makes all the difference on loaded horizontal surfaces: a worktop or cabinet door will retain its original appearance far longer than with standard acrylic lacquer. Be sure to respect the full curing period of 28 days before intensive use – this is when the lacquer develops its full scratch resistance. For optimal professional results, work in a well-ventilated room at stable temperature and avoid draughts that could compromise film coalescence.
This lacquer is applied to wood and metal surfaces indoors, provided the surfaces are properly primed. It is perfectly suited for cabinet doors, worktops, doors, trim, skirting boards, windows, window sills, cladding, furniture and iron and metal elements with corrosion protection.
The polyurethane reinforcement gives Interior Strong Finish 20 surface hardness and scratch resistance superior to standard acrylic lacquer. Its optimised coalescence ensures homogeneous film formation and remarkable resistance to soiling, wear and repeated cleaning, making it an ideal choice for heavily used surfaces.
The paint is dust-dry after 2 hours at 20°C and 60% relative humidity. You can apply a fresh coat after 6 hours. However, full curing requires 28 days under the same conditions. For intensive use such as a worktop or cabinet door, respect this period to benefit from the full mechanical resistance of the product.
Interior Strong Finish 20 is used as supplied for roller or brush application. If you are working with a spray gun, no thinning is necessary. For cleaning your tools, water is sufficient.
With a nominal coverage of 9 m² per litre, a 3-litre tin will cover approximately 27 m² per coat. Actual coverage may vary depending on substrate porosity, application method and film thickness applied.
