SATIN PU-A
SATIN PU-A by SPS is a satin polyurethane acrylic lacquer designed as a finishing coat for interior woodwork, but also for pre-treated plastic or metal surfaces. Its water-based formula offers excellent colour and sheen retention over time, while remaining virtually odourless during application — a real plus for occupied job sites or living spaces.

Application tips
On bare wood, first carry out any necessary repairs, then apply a suitable primer: SPS Universal Primer for sound wood, SPS ISO Primer for resinous (bleeding) wood. Allow to dry, sand lightly and dust thoroughly before applying the finishing coat.
If working over an existing, intact paint layer, first clean the surface with SPS Paint Cleaner, then sand to create a key. Apply (or renew) a coat of SPS Universal Primer, let it dry, sand lightly and dust off before applying SATIN PU-A.
Application is done with a brush, thanks to a smooth flow that limits brush marks and makes cross-coating easier. Work in sections to maintain a wet edge and ensure an even result across the whole surface.

On heavily used woodwork — skirting boards, handrails, interior front doors — SATIN PU-A's resistance to skin grease makes all the difference compared to a standard lacquer: it prevents that localised yellowing often seen at points of repeated hand contact. It's a selection criterion too often overlooked by DIYers, but one that every experienced painter checks first for this type of surface.
A site tip: never skip the intermediate sanding step between primer and finish, even though the product dries fast. This light keying is what guarantees proper adhesion and a smooth final look, especially with a satin finish, where any surface imperfection shows more than with a matte one.

SATIN PU-A convient-elle pour du bois neuf et du bois déjà peint ?
Oui, dans les deux cas, mais la préparation diffère. Sur bois neuf dénudé, appliquez un Primer universel SPS (ou Primer ISO sur bois saignant) avant la finition. Sur une peinture existante intacte, nettoyez au Nettoyant peinture SPS, poncez, puis ajoutez une couche de Primer universel SPS avant d'appliquer SATIN PU-A.
Peut-on utiliser ce produit sur du métal ou du plastique ?
Oui, SATIN PU-A s'applique aussi comme couche de finition sur des supports plastique ou métalliques, à condition qu'ils soient correctement prétraités au préalable. Un apprêt adapté au support reste indispensable pour garantir l'accroche.
La laque sent-elle fort pendant l'application ?
Non, c'est l'un des atouts du produit : SATIN PU-A est pratiquement inodore grâce à sa base aqueuse pauvre en solvant. Elle convient donc bien aux espaces de vie occupés pendant les travaux.
Comment nettoyer une surface finie avec SATIN PU-A ?
La finition est lavable et résiste bien aux graisses cutanées, ce qui facilite l'entretien courant des boiseries. Un nettoyage doux suffit généralement pour conserver l'aspect satiné et la brillance d'origine.
Quel outil utiliser pour l'application ?
