Technical sheetDownload PDFThe Arteo GV 35 renovation fleece is a fibreglass wall covering designed to conceal micro-cracks and limit their reappearance on your interior walls. With a weight of 35 g/m², this fleece offers a durable solution for renovating damaged surfaces whilst creating a uniform, repaintable base. Ideal for renovation projects where substrate preparation is complex, it is applied with vinyl adhesive using traditional techniques.
Allow approximately 250 g/m² of fibreglass adhesive during application. The substrate must be clean, dry and free of loose particles. Apply adhesive with a roller directly to the wall, lay the fleece carefully and smooth to prevent air bubbles, then join edges to edge. Allow to dry completely before applying your finish paint.
Store rolls in a dry location at a temperature between -10°C and +50°C for optimal product preservation. The fibreglass surface accepts all types of interior wall paint perfectly, giving you great freedom in choosing your finish.

For optimal professional results, work at temperatures between 10 and 25°C and avoid draughts during application. Carefully smooth the fleece with a suitable brush to remove all air bubbles and ensure perfect adhesion. Allow the adhesive to dry completely before applying your first coat of paint. On renovation projects, this fleece represents considerable time savings compared to traditional crack filling, whilst offering lasting protection against their reappearance.
The ARTEO GV35 glasfibre fleece (35 g/m²) is lighter and smoother than glasfibre mesh. It has no visible texture and is perfectly suited to conceal microcracks whilst maintaining a smooth appearance after painting. Glasfibre mesh is thicker, offering decorative texture and superior reinforcement.
The ARTEO GV35 fleece is applied to interior walls and ceilings: plaster, plasterboard, concrete, stable old paint finishes. The surface must be clean, dry, dust-free and free from friable areas. For very porous or fragile surfaces, a primer coat may be required.
Generally, two coats of paint are sufficient for optimal results on ARTEO GV35 fleece. The first coat can be slightly diluted to facilitate impregnation, followed by a second full coat for finishing. The fleece is very smooth and does not excessively absorb paint.
The glasfibre fleece itself is moisture-resistant, but its use in damp rooms depends on the adhesive used and finishing paint. For a bathroom or kitchen, choose an adhesive and paint designed for damp rooms to ensure durability of the overall finish.
No, ARTEO GV35 fleece benefits from Oekotex Standard 100 Class 1 certification, guaranteeing the absence of health-hazardous substances. It is also classified A+ for air emissions according to ISO 16000, attesting to very low pollutant emissions.
