The Wood Cleaner 0.5 L by Colonval is a specially formulated product designed to lighten, remove stains and renovate untreated wood. It restores the wood's natural appearance by eliminating stains, darkening and marks caused by moisture or age.
Particularly effective on furniture, doors, parquet, stairs and woodwork, it allows you to restore wooden surfaces before applying oil, varnish or protective coating. Its lightening action revives the wood's original tone without damaging it.
Apply the product to clean, untreated wood using a brush. Leave to work according to the intensity of the stains, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow to dry completely before any finishing or protective treatment of the wood.
Always perform a test on a discreet area first to check the result according to the wood type.

For professional results, avoid applying this cleaner to freshly sealed or varnished wood, as it may cause staining. When working on large outdoor surfaces such as decking, schedule cleaning for late afternoon to prevent the product drying too quickly in sunlight. Using a pressure washer for rinsing speeds up the work and improves results, but ensure you do not exceed 1000 psi (7000 kPa) to preserve wood fibres.
Prevent rinsing water from flowing directly into drains: whilst the product is biodegradable, extracted dirt may contain tannins and other residues. On interior woodwork such as parquet or stairs, work in sections and rinse immediately to control moisture. This type of cleaning is ideal before applying Flügger oil or varnish, as it opens the wood's pores and ensures optimal adhesion.
Yes, Bois Net is suitable for varnished, oiled and untreated wood, both indoors and outdoors. However, certain timber species such as redwood may darken on contact with the product. Always test on a discreet area before treating the entire surface.
The product can be used undiluted for stubborn stains or diluted for maintenance cleaning. Coverage is 4 to 5 m² per litre depending on the condition of the surface and the intensity of greying. Adjust concentration according to the desired result after your preliminary test.
The wood must be completely dry before any finish is applied. Drying time varies depending on weather conditions, timber type and ambient humidity. Indoors, allow a minimum of 24 hours; allow longer outdoors or in damp conditions.
Bois Net may stain or discolour metal, fabrics, floor coverings and furnishings. Protect all unrelated surfaces carefully before application. On vertical woodwork, use a tarpaulin or protective film to prevent drips.
The cleaner has a shelf life of 2 years in its original sealed packaging. Store protected from frost in an upright position at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C. Seal the bottle tightly after each use to preserve product properties.
