Application advice

Inspect your glasses systematically before each use and replace them immediately if deep scratches or cracks compromise protection. Adjust them comfortably and securely before entering the work area to ensure optimal retention during the task.

These over-glasses protect against high-velocity particle impacts, liquid splashes, coarse dust particles, and molten or heated solid material. They are particularly suitable for painting projects, sanding work, chemical or mechanical stripping.

For maintenance, clean the lenses regularly with mild detergent and water, then dry with a non-abrasive cloth. Regular cleaning preserves optical quality and extends product life. Store your glasses in a dry place protected from impacts when not in use.

Pro tips

On site: alternate between several pairs of glasses throughout the day if you work in particularly dusty conditions. A clean pair significantly improves your precision during delicate finishes. For renovation projects with prolonged exposure to sanding dust, combine these glasses with a suitable respiratory mask for complete protection. Regularly check the condition of the scratch-resistant coating: damaged lenses reduce visibility and cause eye strain, replace them as needed.

FAQ

Are these glasses suitable for paint spraying?

Yes, they provide effective protection against paint splashes and mist thanks to their wraparound design and compliance with EN 166 standard. The anti-fog treatment maintains good visibility even when applying in a spray booth or confined space.

Can I wear these glasses over prescription glasses?

These safety glasses have a standard design. For wearing over prescription glasses, there are specific over-glasses models with adjustable temples that provide sufficient space.

How do I maintain the anti-fog treatment?

Clean the lenses only with lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth. Avoid solvents, alcohols or abrasive products that damage the anti-fog treatment. Allow to air dry and store in a protective case.

What is the lifespan of these glasses?

Lifespan depends on usage intensity and working conditions. Polycarbonate offers excellent durability, but replace the glasses as soon as the lenses show significant scratches affecting visibility or if the frame becomes deformed, compromising fit.

Do these glasses provide UV protection?

Yes, they comply with EN 170 standard concerning protection against ultraviolet radiation, particularly at wavelengths below 313 nm. They are therefore suitable for outdoor work with solar exposure.
