The FFP3 NR D mask offers maximum respiratory protection for work exposed to toxic and hazardous particles. Designed for hardwood sanding, treatment of wood containing copper, chromium or arsenic, paint stripping by impact and cement sanding, this single-use mask effectively filters dust, fumes and mist to ensure your safety on the most demanding job sites.
Before use, adjust the nasal bridge by pinching it firmly on the bridge of your nose to ensure a perfect seal. Then adjust the elastic straps by rolling or unrolling the elastic around the hooks until you obtain a comfortable fit without pressure points. The mask must perfectly fit the contours of your face without leaving any gaps.
This FFP3 NR D mask is for single use only and cannot be reused. The NR (Non-Reusable) designation indicates that it should be discarded after each work shift. The letter D means that the mask has passed the dolomite fouling test, guaranteeing good breathability even after exposure to fine dust. Use this level of protection for pollutant concentrations up to 50 times the average exposure value in construction, metallurgy, timber industries and general industry.
Regularly check the condition of the mask during work. Replace it immediately if you experience unusual breathing difficulty, if the shell is damaged or if the mask becomes damp inside. Each mask is individually packaged to ensure hygiene before use.

On site, FFP3 represents the maximum protection level for disposable masks. Your painter customers will particularly request it for renovation work with risks of exposure to lead or asbestos, or when applying products generating spray mist. Remind them that even with an FFP3 mask, good site ventilation remains essential and that the D marking guarantees resistance to clogging by dolomite dust, an advantage for prolonged dusty work.
Advise your customers to store masks in their original packaging, protected from moisture and extreme temperatures. A damaged mask, even slightly, loses its seal and therefore its effectiveness. For craftspeople regularly performing work requiring FFP3 protection, suggest purchasing in bulk packaging to always have a stock of clean and dry masks on hand.
The difference lies in filtration efficiency. FFP3 offers the maximum protection level with 99.95% particle filtration, compared to approximately 94% for FFP2 and 80% for FFP1. FFP3 is required for the most demanding environments: work with asbestos, lead, micro-organisms, radioactive or biochemical aerosols, and high concentrations of hazardous dust particles.
NR stands for Non-Reusable: the mask must be discarded after single use or as soon as it becomes damp or damaged. The D indicates that the mask has passed the clogging resistance test with dolomite dust, guaranteeing good breathability even in highly dusty environments.
Yes, the FFP3 NR D mask provides effective protection against mist and aerosols generated during spray paint application. It is particularly suitable for water-based or oil-based products. For optimal protection against solvent vapours, a specific cartridge mask may however be recommended depending on the products used.
After positioning the mask and adjusting the nose clip, block the air passages with your hands and breathe in gently. The mask should seal against your face without air leaking around the sides. If air passes, readjust the elastic straps and nose clip until you achieve a complete seal. A poorly fitted mask will not protect effectively.
Yes, this mask meets the European standard EN 149 + A1:2009 and is certified as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). It therefore complies with Belgian legal requirements for respiratory protection on construction sites and in industrial environments requiring FFP3 protection.
