Pro tips
On site, the DEROS II 750CV proves particularly effective for wall preparation before painting or floor renovation. Its large sanding pad of 175 mm allows you to cover large surfaces rapidly whilst maintaining excellent manoeuvrability. For optimal results, begin with P80 or P120 grit for coarse sanding, then progressively refine up to P180 or P220 depending on the substrate. Ensure you never apply excessive pressure: the machine's weight is sufficient, keep the pad flat to avoid circular marks. The low vibration level of 2.8 m/s² enables comfortable working throughout the day, an asset greatly appreciated by craftspeople.
FAQ
What is the difference between 5.0 mm eccentricity and other values?
The 5.0 mm eccentricity represents the amplitude of the orbital motion of the sander. It offers a good balance between material removal capacity and finishing quality, perfectly suited for sanding large surfaces in construction and decoration. For very fine finishes, an eccentricity of 2.5 mm would be preferable, whilst an eccentricity of 8.0 mm is better suited to intensive coarse sanding.
Is the sander compatible with all 175 mm discs?
Yes, the DEROS II 750CV accepts all 175 mm (7 inch) abrasive discs with self-adhesive attachment (velcro). For optimal results and effective dust extraction, we recommend using multi-perforated Mirka discs compatible with the machine's centralised extraction system.
Which extraction system should I use?
The DEROS II 750CV requires connection to an external centralised extraction system. Pygmalion offers various Mirka dust extractors adapted to professional sanders, ensuring effective dust extraction and extending the lifespan of abrasives. Extraction is not optional: it is essential for safe and efficient working.
What is the purpose of Bluetooth connectivity?
Bluetooth connectivity allows you to connect the sander to the Mirka mobile app to monitor machine usage, consult operating statistics and optimise working parameters. This feature is particularly useful for businesses wishing to manage their tool fleet and plan preventative maintenance.
What is the difference between the cardboard box and the storage case?
The cardboard box is the standard packaging for occasional use or storage in a fixed workshop. The storage case offers reinforced protection for site transport and storage, with compartments to securely store the sander and its accessories. The choice depends on your mobility and working conditions.
