Technical sheetDownload PDFParacryl Pro is a single-component plastic-elastic acrylic sealant designed for durable sealing of internal and external joints subject to slight to moderate movement. Formulated without solvents and phthalates, it stands out for its very low odour and ease of application, making it the preferred choice for professional painters and discerning homeowners alike.
Apply Paracryl Pro at a temperature between +5°C and +40°C onto clean, dry and dust-free surfaces. The joint must be smoothed within 10 minutes of application, before surface skin forms. Curing speed reaches 0.5 mm after 24 hours under normal conditions (23°C, 50% R.H.).
Once the sealant is fully cured, it can be painted over for a finish perfectly integrated with your substrate. Its high colour stability ensures a durable aesthetic result. Store unopened cartridges in a dry, cool place between +5°C and +25°C to preserve their properties.

Pygmalion advice: Paracryl Pro is particularly appreciated by professional painters for its ease of smoothing and excellent adhesion without primer on most common substrates. Its relatively low Shore A hardness of 12 makes it very flexible once dry, which reduces the risk of cracking on slightly mobile surfaces. Always remember to test adhesion on a sample when working with low-porosity or synthetic materials. For perfect smoothing, use soapy water rather than plain water: this makes the work easier and reduces the sealant's adhesion to your tools.
Yes, Paracryl Pro is specially formulated to be covered with paint. However, wait until the sealant is completely dry in depth before applying your finish. Drying time depends on the thickness of the joint and ambient conditions, but allow a minimum of 24 to 48 hours for a standard joint.
A plasto-elastic sealant like Paracryl Pro offers moderate elasticity, suitable for joints with limited movement (up to 12.5%). It retains some flexibility while being easier to smooth and paint. A purely elastic sealant, usually silicone-based, supports greater movement but cannot always be painted.
Paracryl Pro is suitable for finishes and joints in wet rooms, but not for joints in permanent contact with water such as around a bath or shower tray. For these specific applications, choose a sanitary silicone sealant.
In unopened packaging and stored in dry conditions between +5°C and +25°C, Paracryl Pro will keep for 15 months. Once the cartridge is opened, reseal it carefully and use it within the following weeks to ensure optimal performance.
On most common porous substrates such as plaster, concrete or wood, no primer is necessary. Simply ensure the surface is clean, dry and dust-free. On low-porosity or synthetic materials, a prior adhesion test is recommended.
