ProSpray 3.20 The Original Skid

The ProSpray 3.20 The Original Skid is Wagner's entry-level Airless sprayer, designed for professional painters and plasterers looking for a versatile, compact device that's easy to move from one job site to another. Thanks to its 3rd generation piston pump, it sprays solvent-based and water-dilutable paints as well as stains, wood dyes and latex paints, making it a reliable partner for both new builds and renovation work.

Technical specifications

  • 3rd generation piston pump, mounted on a skid
  • Device weight: 14 kg, easy to carry around the job site
  • HEA technology: 55% overspray reduction and reduced spraying pressure
  • Supplied hose: 15 m, 1/4" diameter
  • 4-finger Vector Pro trigger included
  • HEA ProTip 517 nozzle supplied, suited to wall paint
  • Direct suction from the paint bucket, no cup required
  • 118 ml of piston oil supplied for start-up

Application tips

Before spraying, make sure to filter your material and check its viscosity: paint that's too thick will put more strain on the piston pump and can affect spray quality. The ProSpray 3.20 is perfectly suited to smooth materials; for heavier, pigmented or abrasive products, a diaphragm pump, more resistant to friction wear, is a better choice.

On site, direct suction from the bucket makes quick jobs on small and medium surfaces easier. For larger volumes or work requiring more autonomy, the optional 5-litre bucket kit offers extra comfort. Always adapt the nozzle to the material being applied: the HEA ProTip 517 supplied as standard is calibrated for wall paint, while a TradeTip 3 FineFinish is preferable for finer finishing work.

After each use, thoroughly cleaning the circuit and pump significantly extends the device's lifespan, especially when alternating between water-based and solvent-based products.

Pro tips

At Pygmalion, we often see tradespeople neglect piston oil maintenance after several job sites: yet it's this oil that protects the seal and prevents the pump from seizing up. Regular checks, especially after intensive use with solvent-based paints, help avoid many costly breakdowns.

Another point to watch: nozzle choice. The HEA ProTip 517 supplied as standard works very well for wall paint, but for more demanding stain or finishing work, it's worth investing in a TradeTip 3 FineFinish, not included with the device. Matching the nozzle to the material, rather than always keeping the same one, often makes the difference between a professional finish and an uneven spray.

FAQ
