Pro tips

Fibrelastic is particularly recommended for working cracks: joints between different materials, window corners, or wooden substrates subject to hygroscopic variations. Its permanent elasticity prevents frequent repairs. For deep cracks, apply in several thin coats rather than one thick layer: drying will be more uniform and flexibility better preserved. Clean your tools with water immediately after use, before the product dries.

FAQ

Is Fibrelastic suitable for exterior use?

Yes, Fibrelastic is formulated for both interior and exterior use. Its composition based on resins and glass fibres provides resistance to weather and climate variations.

Can you paint directly over Fibrelastic?

Yes, after the filler has completely dried. Fibrelastic accepts all paint types as well as plaster-based or ready-to-use fillers. Allow a drying time of approximately 24 hours per millimetre of thickness before applying the final coat.

What is the difference from a standard filler?

Fibrelastic has permanent elasticity thanks to the glass fibres and resins in its composition. This flexibility allows it to follow substrate movements without cracking, unlike rigid standard fillers. It is therefore particularly suitable for live cracks and moving substrates.

How should the substrate be prepared before application?

The substrate must be clean, dry and dust-free. Essential point: never wet the substrate before applying Fibrelastic. Remove non-adhering parts and stabilise old peeling paints.

How long does Fibrelastic last once opened?

In unopened original packaging, the product has a shelf life of 12 months when protected from frost and extreme heat. Once opened, seal the container carefully after use and use within a reasonable timeframe to preserve the product's properties.
