ZINSSER® ALLCOAT INTERIOR MATT BLANC

ZINSSER® ALLCOAT INTERIOR MATT WHITE revolutionises interior painting by combining primer and topcoat in a single pot. This premium acrylic paint delivers remarkable adhesion to numerous substrates – wood, metal, PVC, ceramic tiles, concrete, plaster – and provides a uniform, resistant and durable matt finish. Ideal for walls and ceilings, it saves time whilst guaranteeing professional results.

Technical characteristics

  • 2-in-1 system: primer and topcoat in one product, no undercoat needed
  • Superior adhesion on PVC, ceramic, aluminium, copper, steel, galvanised steel, wood, plasterboard and concrete
  • Wet abrasion resistance class 1 according to EN 13300 (less than 5µm at 200 rubs)
  • Fast drying: touch dry after 1 hour, recoatable after 2 hours at 20°C and 50% relative humidity
  • Deep matt finish: gloss level below 3% at 60° and below 5% at 85°
  • Dry matter: 60% by weight, 50% by volume
  • Density: 1.2 to 1.4 g/cm³
  • Mould-resistant and easy to clean

Application advice

Apply ZINSSER® ALLCOAT INTERIOR MATT in two coats directly onto clean, dry and degreased substrate. No primer required, even on difficult surfaces such as PVC or tiles. Use a roller, brush or airless sprayer depending on the surface to be treated. The product's good flow properties and absence of drag marks make application straightforward, even on ceilings.

Allow 2 hours between coats for optimum productivity. Full cure is achieved in 5 days. Work under ideal conditions: ambient temperature around 20°C and relative humidity close to 50%. Clean tools with water immediately after use.

For optimal results, ensure substrates are sound and free from dust, grease or flaking old paint. On highly absorbent or stained surfaces, an additional coat may be necessary to achieve the covering power characteristic of this product.

Pro tips

On site, Zinsser AllCoat Interior Matt saves you half a day by eliminating the primer step. For radiators and metal joinery, wait until they are cool before application. On new highly absorbent substrates like white plaster, lightly dilute the first coat with a maximum of 5% water to aid penetration. A Belgian pro trick: this product excels in renovating tiled kitchens and bathrooms, where it allows you to transform the appearance without demolition. Remember to order the right size for your surface: 10L for large projects, 2.5L for standard rooms, and 1L for touch-ups or small work.

FAQ

Do I really need to apply a primer before Zinsser AllCoat Interior Matt?

No, that's precisely the main advantage of this product. The recommended system is two coats without primer. The first coat acts as both primer and undercoat, whilst the second provides the finish. This saves you time and materials on all your interior projects.

Can I paint directly onto ceramic tiles or PVC?

Absolutely. Zinsser AllCoat Interior Matt has been formulated to adhere directly to these difficult substrates, as well as aluminium, copper, galvanised steel and many other materials. Simply clean the surface and degrease it before application to ensure optimal adhesion.

How long should I wait between coats?

At 20°C and 50% relative humidity, the paint is recoatable after 2 hours. It is touch-dry in just 1 hour. These rapid drying times allow you to complete most projects in a single day.

Is this paint suitable for damp rooms like a bathroom?

Yes, its wet scrub resistance class 1 according to EN 13300 standard makes it an excellent choice for wet rooms. It resists splashes, moisture and frequent cleaning, making it particularly suited to bathrooms, kitchens and utility rooms.

What's the difference between AllCoat Interior and AllCoat Exterior?

AllCoat Interior Matt is specifically formulated for interior work on walls and ceilings, with a very high-quality matt finish. AllCoat Exterior is reinforced to withstand weather, UV rays and exterior conditions. Always use the Interior product for your interior projects.
