The RollCut by L'Outil Parfait is a patented joint tape applicator that revolutionises paper tape installation in plastering. Designed and manufactured by L'Outil Parfait, it enables working up to 3 metres high without stepladder or stilts, by unrolling, moistening and cutting the tape in a single operation. Supplied in a case with two aluminium extension poles fitted with rubber handles, it can be used on walls as well as ceilings, for flat tapes and corners.

Application guidelines
Before use, ensure that the joints between plasterboards are clean and free from dust. Load the applicator with the paper tape, making sure it passes correctly between the toothed wheels. The stainless steel drive system ensures smooth unrolling without snagging.
During application, the integrated moistening pad prepares the tape on the compound side, which improves adhesion and reduces the risk of air bubbles. Maintain constant pressure during application. To cut, simply press the handle: the triggers activate the blade for a clean cut without tearing.
L'Outil Parfait recommends using the RollCut in combination with other tools from the range for optimal productivity: load the joints with the Roll Enduit, apply the tape with the RollCut, then tighten with the Triflex for a professional result.

Pro tips
The most common pitfall with the RollCut? Wanting to go too fast on first use. Take the time to properly adjust the tape tension in the device and test the cutting system on an offcut before going up to the ceiling. FAQ
Does the RollCut work with all types of jointing tape?
The RollCut is specifically designed for paper jointing tapes. It is not compatible with reinforced tapes or fibreglass tapes which require a different type of applicator.
Must the joint be pre-coated before applying tape with the RollCut?
Yes, as with any paper jointing tape application, the joint must be loaded with filler beforehand. L'Outil Parfait recommends using the Roll Filler for this operation, then immediately apply the tape with the RollCut whilst the filler is still wet.
Can you really work up to 3 metres high without stilts?
Yes, thanks to the two aluminium extension rods supplied in the case, you easily reach 3 metres height. The rubber grips provide good grip even at height, and the trigger-operated cutting system remains accessible along the entire length of the poles.
Is the humidification system really necessary?
The integrated humidification pad significantly improves tape adhesion and limits air bubbles, especially on fast-set fillers. It is a real advantage for finishing quality, particularly appreciated by professional plasterers looking to reduce rework.
How do you maintain the RollCut after use?
