BAC À ENDUIRE

The L'Outil Parfait joint tray is designed to optimise gypsum board jointing work and compound touch-ups. Its capacity allows you to reduce trips back to the main compound bucket, whilst maintaining a sufficient amount of product within reach to work with putty knives and finishing blades up to 30 cm. Made from stainless steel 0.70 mm thick, this tray combines robustness with ease of maintenance for daily site use.

Technical specifications

  • Stainless steel tray, 0.70 mm thick, resistant to wear, scratches and corrosion
  • Height of 9 cm for a capacity suited to jointing and touch-up work
  • Base of 31.8 cm flared to 35.8 cm allowing the use of putty knives up to 30 cm
  • Width of 6.5 cm flared to 10.8 cm for optimal capacity
  • Scraped edges for removing putty knives and collecting compound in the tray
  • Flared opening and rounded base facilitating compound intake
  • Non-slip, insulating black rubber grip zone 6.5 cm long for comfortable handling
  • Easy to clean thanks to the stainless steel surface

Application advice

Fill the joint tray with sufficient compound to cover several metres of joints without returning to the main bucket. The flared opening allows you to easily load your putty knife, whilst the scraped edges serve to remove excess compound after each pass. This technique helps keep your tool clean and recovers product in the tray rather than wasting it.

For gypsum board jointing work, the tray is held comfortably in one hand thanks to its non-slip grip zone, leaving your other hand free to work with the putty knife. The rounded base facilitates compound intake right to the last amount, reducing product waste.

After use, clean the tray immediately with water before the compound dries. The stainless steel surface guarantees quick cleaning and minimal maintenance, even after repeated use on site.

Pro tips

For drywall jointing projects, this taping pan significantly reduces trips back to the main bucket. Fill it to approximately two-thirds capacity: this prevents spillage when scraping with the blade whilst maintaining sufficient material for smooth, continuous work. Lightly dampen the pan before first use to facilitate final cleaning. For overhead work, this compact size attaches easily to a tool belt or sits on a stepladder without tipping risk thanks to its stable base.

FAQ

Can this pan be used with all types of joint compounds?

Yes, this stainless steel taping pan is suitable for all jointing, patching and finishing compounds. Its non-porous, corrosion-resistant surface makes it compatible with plaster-based compounds, finishing compounds and touch-up products. Cleaning remains easy regardless of the product formulation.

What width of blade can be used with this pan?

The L'outil Parfait taping pan is designed to accommodate putty knives and finishing blades up to 30 cm wide. Its flared opening allows easy blade loading, whilst its bevelled edges act as a scraper for all standard knife widths used in finishing work.

Is the pan resistant to new and sharp putty knives?

Absolutely. The stainless steel used in this pan resists scratching and wear caused by new putty knives, even the sharpest ones. This robustness guarantees a long service life, even under intensive professional use.

How do I clean the pan effectively after use?

Thanks to its non-porous stainless steel surface, the pan cleans easily with clean water. For optimal cleaning, rinse it immediately after use before the compound dries completely. If it does dry, soaking in water is usually sufficient to loosen residues without effort.

Is this pan suitable for occasional renovation work?

Absolutely. The taping pan is ideal for touch-up and repair work on drywall. Its size allows you to work cleanly without preparing large quantities of compound, reducing waste for small projects or finishing touches.
