CONSERVATEUR DE ROULEAUX À PEINDRE

The paint roller storage tube is the accessory that lets you pause a job without losing time or materials. This flexible, airtight storage tube preserves your paint-loaded roller or sleeve between applications, preventing drying out and unnecessary cleaning. Ideal for work breaks or next-day resumption, it keeps paint fresh and ready to use.

Technical specifications

  • Flexible, airtight tube for optimal storage
  • Compatible with rollers and sleeves from 180 to 250 mm
  • Durable material, water-rinsable
  • Sealing system ensuring airtightness
  • L'Outil Parfait manufacturing, professional quality
  • Reusable for multiple jobs

Application tips

After applying your first coat, remove the sleeve from its frame without wringing out residual paint. Immediately slide the loaded sleeve into the storage tube and seal it hermetically to prevent any contact with air. The tube can be stored at room temperature, away from direct light and heat sources.

To resume work, simply remove the sleeve from the tube and remount it on its frame. The paint remains supple and homogeneous, without skin formation or lumps. This technique works with both acrylic and solvent-based paints, for breaks ranging from a few hours to several days depending on conditions.

After final use of the roller, clean the storage tube with clear water if you worked with acrylic, or with white spirit for oil-based paints. Dry it thoroughly before storage to extend its lifespan.

Pro tips

The classic mistake is leaving too much air in the tube when closing. Professionals gently squeeze the tube before sealing to expel residual air and press the sleeve against the wall. This precaution considerably extends storage time, up to three or four days for acrylic in cool conditions.

On large-scale jobs, remember to label your tubes with a marker indicating the colour and date. You can then manage several rollers in parallel without confusion. For short lunch breaks, some tradespeople even place the tube in the refrigerator during summer, which further slows down acrylic paint drying.

FAQ
