COUTEAU TRIFLEX

The TriFlex® knife revolutionises plasterboard joint treatment with its patented dual blade technology. Specially designed for tightening and smoothing paper tape on tapered edges, this ergonomic tool guarantees uniform work without wrist fatigue, ideal after application with the Roll'Cut.

Technical features

  • Flexible tempered stainless steel blade 0.3 mm with rounded edges for perfect smoothing
  • Rigid tempered stainless steel counter-blade 0.6 mm providing central support point
  • Width of 5 cm for effective coverage of standard tape
  • Ergonomic handle designed to reduce musculoskeletal disorders
  • Wide blade without heel for easy cleaning after use
  • Compatible with OP Process® pole system via ParfaitLiss® connector
  • Lightweight construction for easy handling throughout the working day
  • Developed and manufactured in L'Outil Parfait factories

Application advice

Use the TriFlex® knife immediately after applying your paper tape with the Roll'Cut. The dual blade technology allows uniform pressure across the full width without manual effort in the centre, unlike traditional knives. The technical support point provided by the rigid counter-blade, combined with the flexibility of the front blade, ensures perfectly uniform adhesion.

For high-level work or large surfaces, mount the knife on the OP Process® pole using the ParfaitLiss® connector. This setup allows ceiling joints to be treated without scaffolding whilst maintaining the same finishing quality as manual work.

Clean the blade immediately after use: the absence of a heel allows easy rinsing under water. The straightness of the profile and the quality of the tempered stainless steel guarantee optimal durability, even with intensive site use.

Pro tips

On tight-schedule Belgian job sites, the TriFlex Knife saves precious time: the dual blade eliminates the need to press hard at the tape centre, speeding up work whilst protecting your joints. Consider investing in the OP Process'® pole system if you work regularly on ceilings: you can attach the TriFlex directly to the pole via the ParfaitLiss'® connector, avoiding uncomfortable overhead positions. Remember to clean the blade immediately after use, before the joint compound dries: the absence of a heel makes this operation particularly simple and quick.

FAQ

What is the difference between the two blades of the TriFlex Knife?

The TriFlex features a flexible tempered stainless steel blade of 0.3 mm that ensures smoothing in contact with the tape, and a rigid counter-blade of 0.6 mm that serves as a central support point. This combination allows even pressure without needing to push manually at the centre.

Can this knife be used with a telescopic pole?

Yes, the TriFlex Knife is compatible with L'Outil Parfait's OP Process'® pole system. You will need to obtain the OP Process'® pole and the ParfaitLiss'® connector to attach the knife to the pole.

Is this knife suitable for all types of joint tape?

The TriFlex Knife is specifically developed for embedding paper tape on plasterboard with bevelled edges. Its 5 cm width corresponds to the standard dimensions of tape used in Belgium.

How can you prevent joint compound from drying on the blade?

Clean the knife immediately after use, before the compound hardens. The heel-free blade design greatly facilitates this operation and allows complete, rapid cleaning with water.
