Technical sheetDownload PDFDekso 1 Ultramat to Mix is a 100% acrylic paint specifically designed for interior walls and ceilings that require flawless aesthetic finish and everyday durability. Its ultra-matt finish absorbs light without any reflection, creating a sober and elegant atmosphere in both residential and professional spaces. Thanks to its excellent coverage and cleaning resistance, it is perfectly suited for high-use rooms where functional and decorative demands are high.
Proper substrate preparation is essential for achieving a uniform ultra-matt finish. New plaster or plasterboard surfaces must be dust-free and completely dry. Any repairs should be made with suitable fillers, then finely sanded. On older surfaces, clean and remove all traces of flaking or chalking before applying the paint.
Apply Dekso 1 Ultramat at a minimum temperature of 10°C and relative humidity below 80%. Work with a paint roller or spray gun depending on the surface area. The paint is touch-dry after 1 hour at 20°C and 60% relative humidity. Allow 4 hours between coats. The surface will reach its final hardness and resistance after 28 days of complete curing.
This paint to mix allows you to choose your colour from the Flügger 32 and Flügger 80 colour charts. Ensure you order the required quantity in a single tint to guarantee colour uniformity across the entire project. Available sizes: 0.75L, 3L and 10L.

The classic pitfall with an ultra-matte paint of this quality is underestimating the importance of consistent application. Unlike a satin finish that forgives minor cross-brushing defects, ultra-matte reveals even the slightest brush marks or poorly blended roller passes. Always work in complete zones and cross your strokes quickly without going over the paint once it starts to drag.
Another practical tip: for large wall surfaces, use a short-pile paint roller (5-6 mm) that minimizes texture and maximizes the velvety finish. And above all, never overload your roller. With a theoretical coverage of 8 m²/litre and abrasion resistance class 1, this paint applies in thin, even coats. This achieves an extra-robust surface that tolerates spot cleaning with mild detergents and a non-abrasive sponge, while maintaining its flawless matte appearance.
On properly prepared and dusted fresh plaster, two coats of Dekso 1 Ultramat are generally sufficient for a uniform result. Allow 4 hours drying time between coats at 20°C. If the substrate is very porous, an appropriate primer may be recommended to optimise coverage.
Yes, despite its ultra-matte finish, this paint offers wet abrasion resistance class 1 according to EN 13300 standard. It tolerates spot cleaning with water, a mild non-abrasive detergent and a soft sponge or brush. However, avoid intense rubbing which could create local gloss marks.

Absolutely. Its 100% acrylic formulation and ultra-matte finish make it an excellent choice for ceilings. The non-reflective finish masks minor imperfections and avoids unsightly light effects. Its H10 coverage class reduces the number of coats needed, even on lighter backgrounds.
The paint reaches full hardness and final abrasion resistance after 28 days complete drying at 20°C and 60% relative humidity. It is advisable to wait this period before intensive cleaning. For light spot cleaning, you may intervene earlier with caution.
