DL CHEMICALS PARACRYL STANDARD BLANC EN 300 ML

DL Chemicals Paracryl Standard White is a single-component plastic-elastic acrylic sealant designed for treating low-movement joints in your interior carpentry projects. Ideal for sealing joints around windows, doors, skirting boards, stairs and panels, this sealant combines excellent workability with lasting colour stability. Solvent-free and phthalate-free, it hardens by water evaporation and can be painted immediately after drying.

Technical properties

  • Type: single-component polyacrylate dispersion
  • Hardening by water evaporation
  • Absorbs movement up to 7.5%
  • Skin formation: 30 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity
  • Density: 1.62 g/ml
  • Application temperature: +5°C to +40°C
  • Temperature resistance: -20°C to +80°C
  • Formulation without solvent and without phthalates, odourless during hardening

Application advice

Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust or grease before applying the sealant. Apply the sealant at a temperature between +5°C and +40°C to ensure optimal hardening. Smooth the joint immediately after application for even finish.

Thanks to its excellent adhesion to porous substrates, Paracryl Standard is perfectly suited for filling tears and cracks as well as for low-movement joints. Rapid skin formation allows painting within short timeframes. For joints subject to greater movement, consult the full DL Chemicals range.

Pro tips

For professional painters, Paracryl Standard stands out for its ease of smoothing and colour stability. However, be careful to properly size your joints: with a maximum amplitude of 12.5 %, this sealant is suitable for low-movement connections, not for major expansion joints. For the latter, opt for a silicone or polyurethane sealant instead. Also bear in mind that shrinkage during drying is between 15 and 20 %: avoid joints that are too deep and apply multiple coats if necessary. The paintability is a real advantage for your finishes, but wait for complete hardening before applying your paint layer.

FAQ

Can you paint directly over Paracryl Standard?

Yes, this acrylic sealant is perfectly paintable after complete hardening. It accepts most acrylic and alkyd paints, making it an excellent choice for interior finishing work where the joint must blend in with the surrounding paint.

What is the maximum movement amplitude supported?

Paracryl Standard supports a maximum working amplitude of 12.5 % according to ISO 11600 standard. It is therefore recommended for low-movement joints: door and window frames, skirting boards, wall-ceiling junctions, stairs. For joints subject to greater movement, another type of sealant will be required.

Does the sealant release odours during application?

No, Paracryl Standard is a solvent-free sealant that is completely odourless during hardening. It is therefore perfectly suited for work in occupied interiors or poorly ventilated spaces, without any inconvenience to occupants.

What is the shelf life of the product?

Paracryl Standard cartridges can be stored for 15 months in their original hermetic packaging, provided they are stored in a dry location at a temperature between +5°C and +25°C.

What surfaces can it be applied to?

This sealant offers excellent adhesion to many porous substrates: wood, plaster, concrete, particle boards, bricks. Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry and degreased before application to guarantee optimum adhesion.
