Application advice
Start with P120 grit for stripping and preparing rough or old surfaces. Progress with P180 to eliminate marks from the previous grit, then P240 to refine before painting or finishing. Reserve P320 grit for the finest finishes or intermediate sanding between coats.
Always connect the DEXOS vacuum to the LEROS sander via the supplied hose. The perforation of ABRANET® discs ensures optimal dust extraction, protecting your health and extending the lifespan of the abrasives. Empty the vacuum bag regularly to maintain effective suction.
Work with steady, even strokes without excessive pressure: the machine's weight is sufficient. On ceilings and walls, the LEROS's lightweight design reduces fatigue during extended jobs. Store the set in the supplied bag to protect your equipment between uses.

Pro tips
At Pygmalion, we recommend always starting your sander while it is already in contact with the surface to be treated: this prevents startup marks and extends motor life. Also remember to store your Abranet discs in a moisture-free environment in their original packaging, as even slight humidity exposure can affect their cutting performance. For renovation projects in Belgium where ambient humidity is often high, allow your abrasives to acclimatise for a few hours before use.
Don't forget to regularly clean your dust extractor filter and check the seals of hose connections. A high-performance suction system not only extends the life of your abrasives but also significantly improves finish quality. If you notice a drop in suction, first check the bin level before suspecting a mechanical problem.
FAQ
What is the difference between LEROS and DEROS sanders included in Mirka packs?
DEROS sanders are electric orbital models with 2.5 mm eccentricity, particularly suitable for fine finishing and flat surface sanding. LEROS machines are designed for wall and ceiling sanding with a format more suited to large vertical surfaces. Consult the specific technical datasheets of your pack to find out the exact model included.
Are Abranet discs compatible with other sander brands?
Abranet discs use a standard hook-and-loop fastening system and are multi-hole perforated, making them compatible with most orbital sanders on the market with an appropriate base plate. Simply verify the diameter (125 mm or 150 mm) and ensure your machine has centralised dust extraction to fully benefit from the dust-free system advantages.
What is the service life of Abranet discs compared to conventional abrasives?
Abranet discs offer significantly longer service life than traditional abrasives thanks to their open structure which prevents clogging by dust particles. Under normal operating conditions with proper suction, an Abranet disc can last up to ten times longer than a standard paper abrasive, particularly on wood and soft materials.
Is the 30L dust extractor sufficient for a full day of work?
A capacity of 30 litres is generally suitable for a full day of light to moderate sanding. For intensive stripping or heavy preparation work, plan to empty the bin mid-day. The emptying frequency also depends on the type of material being sanded: plaster and filler generate more dust than fine sanding of primers or wood.
Can these packs be used for automotive sanding?
The Mirka packs including orbital sanders and Abranet abrasives are perfectly suitable for bodywork preparation and primer sanding. Be sure to select a pack with appropriate grain sizes for automotive finishing, typically P320 to P500 for final stages before paint application.
