Rubio Monocoat - Cleaner
Before applying a Rubio Monocoat oil, preparing raw wood is a step that determines the durability of the entire finish. Rubio Monocoat Cleaner removes sanding dust and impurities in depth, without leaving a film or raising the grain, so the wood is perfectly ready to receive the oil that follows.

Application tips
Sand the wood surface carefully, then vacuum it to remove as much dust as possible before applying the Cleaner. This preparation step is essential: the cleaner the surface, the more effectively the cleaner will work.
Dampen a cloth with the Cleaner and wipe it over the wood sparingly. A lightly moistened cloth is more than enough: there's no need to saturate the surface, as this only prolongs drying without any extra benefit.
Let the surface dry until all moisture has completely disappeared before applying Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C. The Cleaner can also be used to clean your application tools after use.

Many users think that soaking the cloth more will make cleaning more effective. It's actually the opposite: too much Cleaner unnecessarily slows down drying and can moisten the grain slightly more than needed. Experienced craftsmen always work with a barely damp cloth, applying regular passes for a consistent result across the whole surface.
Also remember to keep a little product aside to clean your application tools right after use: this is the ideal moment, before the oil starts to dry on brushes or pads.
