Application tips
The substrate must be sound, clean, dry, dust-free and degreased before application. On wood, plastic or metal, make sure the pre-treatment (suitable primer) is fully dry and in good condition to ensure proper adhesion and durability of the finish.
Apply in a regular coat, keeping to the recommended film thickness to achieve the optimal flow characteristic of this product. The fast drying time allows multiple coats to be applied within the same day, while working in a low-odour environment thanks to its low solvent content.
A good-quality synthetic brush or a short-pile roller is suitable for an even application; clean tools with water immediately after use, as the formulation is water-based.

Pro tips
On site, there's often a temptation to load up the tool to save time — with this type of matte PU lacquer, that's the mistake to avoid: a coat that's too thick slows down drying and can harm the uniform matte finish you're aiming for. It's better to stick to the recommended wet film thickness and apply thin, even coats, especially on vertical surfaces such as doors or skirting boards.
For finishes on heavily used furniture or woodwork, a light intermediate sanding between coats (fine grit) improves adhesion and refines the final feel, without compromising the product's resistance to skin grease.
FAQ
