Technical sheetDownload PDFParafoam Construct NBS is a single-component polyurethane foam designed for professional and experienced DIY applications. Its very low expansion pressure makes it ideal for sealing, insulation and joint filling, as well as for bonding light polystyrene and polyurethane insulation panels in interior applications, without risk of substrate deformation.
Apply the product at ambient temperature between 5°C and 30°C, ideally at 20°C. The temperature of the canister itself should be between 5°C and 25°C for optimal performance. Lightly moistening surfaces before application promotes curing and improves adhesion.
Use exclusively with an NBS applicator gun for precise dosage and optimal flow control. Once cured, the foam can be cut, sawn, skimmed and painted as required. Carry out a preliminary test on a small area to verify compatibility with your substrate.
The foam cures through reaction with ambient moisture. Allow sufficient curing time before finishing operations. The product contains no CFC or HCFC, respecting the ozone layer.

For professional projects, lightly dampen surfaces before application: NBS foam reacts to moisture and this precaution significantly improves adhesion and accelerates curing. With a yield of 14 linear metres for a 3x5 cm joint, calculate your requirements precisely to avoid waste. Clean your gun immediately after use with a specific cleaner, as cured foam will no longer dissolve.
Application temperature ranges from +5°C to +30°C, with optimal performance at 20°C. The product itself must be at a temperature between +5°C and +25°C at the time of application.
The foam becomes dust-free within 6 to 10 minutes. It can be cut after approximately one hour, depending on ambient humidity and temperature conditions.
One can produces approximately 35 litres of expanded foam, equivalent to approximately 14 linear metres for a 3x5 cm joint.
Yes, with a thermal conductivity of 0,033 W/mk and temperature resistance from -50°C to +90°C, it offers good insulation properties for weatherstripping and sealing of singular points.
Store cans upright in a dry, cool location at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C. The shelf life of an unopened product is 18 months.
