Application tips

The surface must be clean, dry and properly prepared before application: sanded and dust-free wood ensures better adhesion and an even colour finish. DuroGrit is applied in a single coat, which simplifies the job but requires careful and even application to avoid build-up or gaps.

Special attention should be given to choosing the right shade for the type of wood: certain species, particularly thermally modified wood, are sensitive to colour changes under UV exposure. In this case, opt for a darker colour for better long-term performance. White and pastel shades also require a suitable surface — don't hesitate to ask for advice before starting on a specific wood species.
