Pro tips

For professional painters: the flexibility of this filler makes it a smart choice for slightly moving substrates or junction areas between different materials. Make sure to dampen your spatula during final smoothing to limit tool marks and reduce sanding. For homeowners: don't overload your spatula—several light coats are better than one thick coat that risks cracking during drying. Check the technical datasheet from Semin for exact drying times according to the thickness applied and humidity conditions.

FAQ

What types of surfaces can I apply Sem-Light to?

Sem-Light adheres to various common substrates: plaster, plasterboard, concrete, old fillers and other building materials. Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free of dust before application.

What is the maximum thickness I can apply in one coat?

To prevent cracking during drying, it is recommended not to exceed a few millimetres per coat. For deeper repairs, apply multiple successive coats, allowing proper drying between each application.

Do I need to sand after application?

Yes, light sanding is generally necessary to achieve a perfectly smooth surface. Use fine-grit sandpaper once the filler is completely dry. Good smoothing with a damp spatula during application reduces sanding work.

Which packaging should I choose for my work?

The 1L pot is suitable for small repairs and spot touchups. The 5L format is more economical for large building sites or tradespeople who regularly use filler.
