Technical sheetDownload PDFZINSSER® BULLS EYE 1-2-3 is a universal primer based on acrylic resin in aqueous phase, designed to simplify the preparation of all your indoor and outdoor projects. Thanks to its exceptional adhesion to most surfaces without prior sanding and its 30-minute drying time, this isolating primer saves valuable time while guaranteeing a durable finish. Low in odour, it is equally suitable for occupied sites and quick interventions for homeowners.
Apply ZINSSER® BULLS EYE 1-2-3 at temperatures between 10°C and 32°C for optimal results. The product is applied with brush, roller or spray gun to a clean and dry surface. For ferrous metals, first remove any rust traces and clean with a suitable degreaser. The absence of sanding required on most surfaces considerably reduces preparation time.
Maintain a wet film thickness of 80 to 110 microns for a dry film thickness of 30 to 40 microns. Practical coverage varies depending on substrate porosity and roughness. Although recoatable after 1 hour, the product reaches full hardness after 7 days. For dark topcoat shades, choose the Deep base which improves coverage and reduces the number of coats required.

For your renovation projects in Belgium where you need to work on mixed surfaces, BULLS EYE 1-2-3 simplifies your logistics: a single primer for woodwork, metal radiators and wall tiles. Its one-hour recoating time allows you to apply the finish the same day. On older, highly porous surfaces, check the actual coverage on your first square metres to adjust your quantity. For tannin-rich substrates such as certain exotic woods or resinous knots, allow 24 hours before finishing for optimal stain blocking.
Yes, this primer is specifically formulated to adhere to gloss enamels, tiles and even glass. It acts as a universal adhesion layer, eliminating sanding on most smooth substrates.
The primer is recoatable after 1 hour at 20°C and 50% relative humidity. For blocking standard stains, wait 2 hours. If you are treating tannin stains, wait 24 hours before finishing.
No, the product can be applied directly with brush, roller or airless sprayer without thinning. If thinning is necessary for your application method, add no more than 78 ml of water per litre and plan for a second coat of primer.
Yes, ZINSSER® BULLS EYE 1-2-3 is formulated for both interior and exterior application. It is suitable for facades, soffits, metal railings and other exposed exterior surfaces, provided application conditions are met (temperature between 10°C and 32°C).
Theoretical coverage is between 9 and 12 m² per litre. Practical coverage depends on the porosity and roughness of the substrate and losses from your application method. On very porous surfaces, coverage will be lower.
