Technical sheetDownload PDFMULTICRYL WHITE is a professional acrylic primer developed to efficiently prepare your substrates before applying topcoat paints in pastel shades. Treated with integrated anti-flash-rust technology, it ensures strong adhesion and good covering power, guaranteeing a solid base for your interior painting work.
Ensure the substrate is clean, dry and free from grease and dust before application. This primer is applied with a roller or brush depending on the surface area. For large areas, use a roller with mid-length nap for even product distribution.
Respect drying time between primer and topcoat to ensure optimal adhesion. Ideal application conditions are between 10°C and 25°C, with good room ventilation. Avoid application in excessive humidity or frost conditions.
For lasting professional results, adjust the number of coats according to the porosity and colour of the original substrate. Dark or highly absorbent surfaces may require a second preparation coat.

For professional painters used to tight-schedule projects, Multicryl White offers valuable time-saving thanks to its dual-purpose primer-finish formula. On fresh plasterboard, a single coat is often sufficient as a primer before final finishing. For very porous substrates or those with varying absorption levels, lightly dilute the first coat to ensure uniform adhesion. With Airless pump, start with a 415 nozzle and adjust according to desired fluidity and substrate type. The low VOC content allows comfortable working even on sites with limited ventilation.
Yes, Multicryl White is a 2-in-1 product designed to serve as both primer and matt finish. Its matt appearance and coverage power allow it to be used as a final coat on interior walls and ceilings, particularly in areas with moderate traffic.
The product is touch-dry after 2 hours, but it is recommended to wait 6 hours before applying an additional coat under standard conditions of 23°C and 50% relative humidity. These times may vary depending on site climate conditions.
Multicryl White is suitable for plasterboard, concrete, previously primed surfaces and old non-gloss, well-adhered paints. The substrate must be clean, dry and non-damp. Avoid application to overheated surfaces or gloss paints without prior preparation.
Average coverage is 8 to 9 m² per litre, depending on substrate porosity and application method. A 15-litre bucket therefore covers approximately 120 to 135 m² in one coat. For precise calculation, account for the number of coats required and the nature of your substrate.
Yes, Multicryl White has a very low VOC content of less than 1 g/L, well below the European limit value of 30 g/L for this product category. This formulation allows you to work in better conditions whilst complying with current environmental regulations.
